When Hip Hop star Chris “Ludacris” Bridges partnered with Birkedal-Hartmann to create a new brand of cognac targeting upscale urban clubbers, Barker DZP was selected for Naming and Package Design. For inspiration, we looked to New Orleans, the confluence of French and African American culture. Evoking the mysticism and magic of that spirit, the name CONJURE was born. The logo evokes classic Parisian cafe signage and the bottle incorporates a frosted french toile pattern etched on the glass. But in a subversive twist, a closer inspection of the pattern reveals a group of nude silhouettes.
